Giving the consumer the opportunity to vote for the drinks they love means that they are at the heart of the process, rather than being disengaged from it. The terminology and categories focus on ‘drinking moments’ and are, therefore, more meaningful to the average sprits drinker. This helps them make better buying decisions and helps retailers understand what their customer wants and ultimately, sell more spirits.
Hand-picked, enthusiastic spirits consumers (chosen via an application process) are invited to judge alongside qualified industry experts in Round 1 and an expert panel of high-profile modern drinks communicators who are writers, broadcasters and respected buyers, make up the Round 2 final decision-making panel.
