Daddy Rack Launches First-Ever Limited Edition Single Barrel
Daddy Rack is offering its first-ever, allocated release, Daddy Rack Single Barrel Cask Strength with 10 Single Barrels selected by the Master Maker & Blender.
Word has gotten out amongst whiskey enthusiasts, who are already calling around trying to get their hands on the limited edition bottles.
Crafted with high-grade corn from local farmers, this limited edition has been distilled and aged for 4 years in charred level 3 new American oak barrels, finally double mellowed for a smooth but flavourful finish. Seven barrels were released in their home market of Tennessee, with 2 being sent over the pond to the UK (available through Emporia).
“I can’t take all the credit for the Single Barrel Cask Strength,” says Master Maker & Blender, J. Arthur Rackham. “All the work was done by my friends and team at the distillery; My work was to pick the casks that were exceptional, I marked these barrels with a double XX. I think everyone thought I was marking the barrels with kisses at first",” joked Daddy Rack. “But anyway, they knew I shared my appreciation for their great work. These barrels are my personal picks, each finished with a light second maple charcoal filtration.”

Daddy Rack Tennessee Straight Whiskey launched in Tennessee in September 2020. Leaning on purity and flavour nuances, all barrels chosen for Daddy Rack Tennessee Straight Whiskey (Original) are aged for a minimum of 3 years, then meticulously blended by Daddy Rack himself, to produce a beautiful 80-proof Tennessee Whiskey. Made with Grade 1 locally-farmed corn, sour mash fermentation and lightly rectified copper double distillation. The same care is taken with the filtration process - Daddy Rack is filtered using the Lincoln County Process, through maple charcoal, before ageing in new American oak barrels. Each small batch comes from 20 barrels, blended to perfection with no colouring, caramel or additional flavours. Before bottling, each batch is lightly filtered to add a smoothness and then batch coded for traceability.
