The House of Sempé is one of the most well-known trading houses in Armagnac, with over 32 gold medals and 28 silver awards, they were the first Armagnac exporter, providing some of the best Armagnac the region has to offer. Part of what makes Sempé stand out is their connection to the terroir and the local wine- growers in Bas Armagnac.
Their eaux-de-vie comes from Bas Armagnac, the most famous region that covers a part of the Gers and the neighbouring Landes. The selected wines are a low alcohol and are distilled only once between 53° and 65°. The distillation takes place once fermentation is finished to obtain aromatic eaux-de-vie that are complex and suitable for ageing in oak. The reputation of Sempé’s Armagnacs lies in the process followed by their Cellar Master & Distiller - good acidity in the wines, a gentle regular heat in their alambic and high-quality oak barrels with the right toasting.

A deep, old gold in colour. The Armagnac is fruity, with a nose of dried fruits. A long, complex finish with a stunning roundness. The perfect Armagnac to start a tasting.
